Does anyone know anything about admissions criteria or requirements for application to the HEI masters programs? I am in my junior year of my US bachelor's program and was emailed some information about their programs. I am very interested but I can't seem to dig up any info on their admissions criteria.
Here is some info i found... does this help? are you going for international relations?
Masters at HEI
Admission to the Masters' Programmes
In addition to the general conditions that apply to all of the Institute’s programmes, the following specific requirements apply to the Masters' programmes.
Master in International Studies
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree - or a degree deemed equivalent - in one of the Institute’s four disciplines, namely Economics, History and Politics, Law and Political Science (or in a related discipline) or a Bachelor’s degree in international relations.
The choice of the discipline of specialization must be indicated in the application form. If you choose International Economics we strongly recommend you to provide us with your results to the GRE tests.
Admission is decided upon review of the application file by the department of the chosen discipline of specialization.
Master in International Affairs
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree, or a degree deemed equivalent, in one of the Institute’s four disciplines, namely Economics, History and Politics, Law and Political Science (or in a related discipline) or a Bachelors’ degree in international relations.
For holders of a Bachelors’ degree in one of the four disciplines of the Institute, an exposure to a least one another disciplines will be a strong asset.
Admission is decided upon review of the application file by an interdisciplinary commission.
Licence in International Relations: Students who are presently enrolled (2005/2006) in one of the four years of the licence programme will be automatically admitted upon completion of the licence into the HEI MIS programme if they obtain an average grade of no less than 4.75 in the third and fourth year exams of their chosen discipline of specialisation and an average grade of no less than 4.5 overall in their third and fourth year exams.
They will be automatically admitted into the HEI MIA programme if they obtain an average grade of no less than 4.75 in at least one discipline and an average grade of no less than 4.5 overall. Licence students must submit their application by January 31st and pay the application fee. They are not required, at this point, to sollicit letters of recommendation.
Applications of students who do not meet the criteria enumerated above will still be considered in October. At that point, these students will be required to obtain letters of recommendation.
