Hi
I went to a very good liberal arts college. However, I completed messed up my academic career there by being unorganized and overall distracted. As a result, my cumulative GPA is a 2.7. However, my GPA in major in a 3.2. I do have one F from my first year of college, but mainly a bunch of C's and more B's, and 5 A's.
My GMAT score is a 680 and my GRE verbal is also 680 with my math at 660.
I would preferably like to enroll in an MPA/MBA dual degree program at a top university (Yale, Berkeley, Hopkins etc.), but dont know if I have a good shot at anything because of my low GPA. I have over 2 years of work experience, and I am taking evening part-time classes at USDA to boost my transcript (I expect an A in these classes).
Do you think I shouldnt even bother trying for top schools on account of my GPA? When I review most MBA program sites, it seems like the GPA cut off is a big deal, and I barely like most of them.
