Page Limitations

Anyone know how strict the page limitations are for personal statements and admissions essays? Will they stop reading at a certain point? Or reject your application?

do they typcially want double-spaced or single-spaced?

Hi Red 45,

You'll want to keep to any page limitations they set for you. It might be alright if you run over by a line or 2 sentences. But, you'll want to respect their page limitations to a large degree because you wouldn't want to give them any reason to not admit you!

They typically want the personal statements (or career essay, or whatever they are requesting in your application) to be double-spaced. This might vary by field, however. In academic fields they are usually double-spaced.
