I'm doing my Masters........my first task is the literature review.........I am working full-time and started my Lit Review mid September this is almost the end of November and I haven't finished the Lit Review yet.-- I'm diong a social science Masters.......I have nothing to guage this to........does this right or am I as slow as I think I am??? Feedback, please.......I think that I am going mad with angst.

hey mosaic, I think these things come faster with experience. What I mean is that if you are writing literature reviews all the time you would (1) become a quicker/better writer and wouldn't need so many drafts (2) know how to manage your time better and balance work and school the best you can (3) be familiar with the literature in your field from having already written several literature reviews. Given that you are working on a masters i imagine that you haven't written a ton of literature reviews and so while I would agree that it seems to be taking you a bit of time to get through it, you haven't done a lot of these. Can you run a draft by a professor? Maybe you are trying to cover too much material?
