I am an ABD grad student at Florida State University, but moved to Northern Virginia to be with my husband. I am looking for a dissertation writing support group in the Northern Virginia area to help keep me on track, as it is very difficult being so far away from my school. Anyone interested in starting a group?

Hey, I'm in NoVA, too, and working on my thesis!

But, I'm from Virginia Tech. I just got a job up here, even though I haven't completed my thesis yet. Leaving school before you're actually finished sucks. I feel quite guilty. But, at least I can pay my bills!

Cool - where are you working? I have been working at GW this past year, and it's almost impossible to get any work done on the dissertation! What's your field?

I work at Alion Science and Technology in Alexandria. My field is engineering.
How far along are you in your dissertation? I'm still analyzing data and writing up the Results and Conclusion sections of my thesis. I now have a hatred for statistics. Unfortunately, I have a three-factor ANOVA with randomized measures, not repeated measures, which seems to be some sort of difference that I kinda get but not really.
