hi i'm an imposter,
but i'm super in love with a graduate student who is working as the teaching assistant for my section of a class i'm currently taking. I know this forum is for grad students to chat about their work but I was wondering if maybe you guys had advice on how I could maybe ask this woman out. jj |

hey jj,
i'm not sure you *should* ask this woman out. After all, you guys have a professional relationship. Don't you think asking her out would be a little innappropriate? jeremy |

don't do it, she's a grad student; she'll mock you for using phrases like "super in love". I was in love with a grad student when I was an undergraduate, BUT:
1) I'm super slow, so I was 39 at the time and she was about 29. 2) She had a really nice butt so it was okay, 3) It wasn't love it was lust, 4) I was already married, 5) She was too smart for me, 6) It wasn't love it was lust, AND 7) It wasn't love it was lust. Go home and read Georges Bataille. Relax |

Do not do ask her out. If you are still "in love" with her when the class is complete, then you may think about it, I guess. why not try? You've nothing to lose, but again, I would wait.
