i have a decently high gpa (3.91/4.0) and 3.98 in both of my majors. i graduated magna cum laude from yale this yr, with distinction in both disciplines.
i feel like i need a higher verbal score to stay in the running. Does anyone have any advice?
Also, i was going to use my senior thesis as my application writing sample. but it only got honorable mention for the Best Senior Thesis in the literature department prize. I feel like people are going to be applying with mindblowingly stellar essays, and I don't know how a "second best" essay would stand up to those... should I spend this summer reworking and rewriting my sample?? I presented this paper at my first professional conference (the Kentucky Foreign language Conference) where it was well-received.
A huge handicap is that I only know French and reading knowledge of German. I'm confident in my French skills (I studied abroad at Ecole Normale Superieure and during my year off I willb e teaching at a high school in Paris) but I'm just beginning to learn German. Should I be applying to French programs instead of complit??
any advice would be helpful!! please let me know

Is this a joke? If so, this is hilarious. I love reading insecure people fish for compliments as well.
If this is not a joke, well, you are a joke.
